Medical Advisory Committee

IMI Healing Technologies (IMIHT) is the operating name for a Canadian corporation - International Medical Instruments Inc. (IMI Inc.). IMI Inc. was founded in 1984 by a Canadian scientist Dr. Norman Salansky, PhD, and operated initially under the name International Medical Machines Inc. IMIHT is the world leader in therapeutic efficacy and versatility of the multi-modality LEP2000™ Photonic and Laser Therapy System.

Since inception, IMIHT team effort was on the development of high efficacy non-invasive therapeutic devices for pain relief and tissue healing without drugs or surgery. The core of IMIHT team has comprehensive background in photonic and laser technologies.

The IMIHT project was of interdisciplinary nature and only collaborative effort with medical specialists in related areas with our core-team could produce meaningful scientifically sound, and clinically effective Low Energy Photonic and Laser Therapy technology that could be effective not only for pain relief but also for tissue healing, nerve regeneration, and function recovery.

With this goal, IMIHT created a Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) consisting of 15 professors and clinicians with expertise in the fields of dermatology, rheumatology, sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, biology, photobiology and physiology. Microelectronics, reliability, software and hardware development, and other aspects of biomedical engineering were addressed as well.

Each member of the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) contributed in different ways, such as preparation of grant applications, advising on ethical and medical aspects in selection of groups of patients for studies, input to medical interpretation of results obtained, joint papers preparation, active participation in some of our studies, discussions of results obtained and advising on new opportunities for this technology applications, discussing and advising on reliability matters, helping in designing a book outline which reflects world accomplishments in this field.

This interdisciplinary scientific approach was extremely instrumental, and helped in the development of the revolutionary LEP2000™ technology, which so far, has helped hundreds of thousands of patients in fast recovery of acute and chronic pain, wound healing, nerve regeneration, and other debilitating ailments.
